Mr Marc Liew Sez Liang has been with the Metropolitan YMCA Singapore (MYMCA) as a freelance swimming instructor from 1988 to 2019, located at 60, Stevens Road Singapore 257854.
He is one of the first aquatic instructors with the Association’s swimming programme. His job scope includes working with the staff-in-charge to conduct swimming classes for preschool children, ensuring safety during lessons, delivery of the different tiers of curriculum for children of various ages, and engagement of parents with timely updates and feedback.
Mr Liew’s expertise has been integral in the aquatics programme when it was first pioneered by the Association, and worked with the Y for 31 years. We appreciate his efforts and work over the years and wish him all the best in his future endeavours.

We write to confirm Coach Marc has been our preschool's swimming instructor from 2009 to October 2018 teaching our preschoolers from 4 to 6 years old as part of our enrichment program.
Our children have enjoyed Coach Marc's classes as he was patient and encouraging which helped to turn their water fears into confidence. He understood children's developmental milestones and importance of engaging them through fun games and challenges. Coach Marc was systematic in his approach and communicated the children's progress regularly to our parents. He was very responsible and very punctual with his classes, hardly missing any sessions which was a consistency well appreciated by our preschool. Mr Marc Liew Sez Liang, NRIC number Sxxxx532E, coached the Yew Tee Swim team for the 2007 and 2008 Inter-Constituency Swimming Championships. Under his coaching leadership, the team came in second among all the constituencies in 2007. In the following year, we improved on that to be crowned Champions in 2008! Marc was competent in both his technical skills and his people management. He helped the team members with their stroke correction and other technical details. He pushed the team just hard enough and kept them motivated to train hard. He was also systematic. in the off season he worked them on stroke work and building stamina and strength. As the date of the competition approached, he gradually increased the amount of speed work and starts and turns. We are pleased to have Marc as our coach in those two years and wish him success in all his future endeavors.
